FLINT, Mich., June 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GEI Global Energy Corp. (OTCBB:GEIG), a fuel cell electric power generation company, announced the execution of a purchase order to provide Lyntech, Inc with a biogas fuel cell power generation system that will provide hydrogen fuel to a high temperature PEM (Polymer Exchange Membrane) fuel cell stack. The GEI fuel cell power generation technology will 'reform' or extract hydrogen needed for electric power generation, from a bio-methane fuel produced via a proprietary biogas generation technology. Both companies will share data and will work to improve the overall fuel cell biogas power generation efficiency.
Lyntech will use the system to evaluate and to improve the process for creating energy from bio waste products by leveraging the high fuel impurity tolerance of high temperature PEM (HTPEM) fuel cells. Applications of such a system are broad that include from residential, to industrial, to military ground support by reducing logistics fuel supply requirements.
